November 17th marked 20 years since protesters knocked down the Communist rule in Czechoslovakia. Installations, filled with history, people’s stories and archival photos, were all over the city. A parade retraced the steps of the protesters, ending at Narodni Trida for a celebratory light show and concert.

Prague has grog. It’s offered at most restaurants and cafes, advertised along with wine, beer and espressos. But it’s grog – straight up rum and hot water. Like what pirates drink. Plus, the informal hello here is “ahoy.” A running theme maybe?

This trip has been about doing things that we don’t like to do, such as eating 3 meals a day, studying accounting and being social (for Matthew, at least). Thus, we did something that we really dislike – started a weblog! Enjoy!
